Alright, this last Sunday I started to experience the standard MOMO throttle pedal problem. I was able to race after restarting my computer, but the problem seemed to get worse that night and Monday night. So, tonight I did the tape fix, and all is good now... or so I thought?
For the last couple of weeks I have noticed I have had to re-calibrate my wheel a couple of times before it centered correctly. I thought this was normal... no big deal, it only took me 2 or 3 times to get the cal correct... well, the last 2 nights I have been practicing my qual at Talladega, and have noticed a BIG problem. It only seemed to happen when I was coming out of turns, and the wheel passes a certain point. But, all of a sudden, even though I am not moving the wheel, the cars wheel, shown on my screen, jerks to the right, and the car hits the wall hard. I started to mess around, and found that 3 out of 5 times I moved the wheel past that point, the car jerks to the right hard, and then the cal seems to be off after that point. From then on, the cal is so far off, I can hardly keep the car straight! It happens on other tracks, as well as straight aways, so I know it's not my car setup or the track causing it.
I have tried re-starting, un-plugging the wheel, and re-calibrating in game, but it continues to happen.
So, my questions are... Has anyone else ever had this problem with the MOMO, if so, is there an easy fix? If not, how do I go about sending this one back and getting a new one or a replacement. The last part of this, this is directed more towards the guys here in Abilene, if I need to send my wheel back, does anyone have an extra MOMO, or something close to that. I really don't want to go back to my old PS2 wheel, as it's complete sh*t, and I might as well not race.
Any help at all would be great! Thanks guys.
