I owned 2 thrustmaster wheels before I got my TSW. They never really let me down, not sure about the FF on this model because my models never had them.
I do have 3 extra potentiometers and a rubber spring if someone gets one of these I think they may be the same.

I received my wheel yesterday. The box looked like Fedex had dropped it off the truck running about 80mph. The wheel and pedals worked. The housing had a small chip out of it and the wheel moved up and down like something was broken inside. The wheel is very hard to turn even when plugged in and setup. Not sure if it is something wrong or if it is the way it works. If it is just the way it works than it is not drivable for precision driving. The construction of the wheel assembly is cheap and clamp doesn’t hold well on the desk. The pedals work better than my Logitech but have no anti-skid carpet strip like my Logitech. The software that comes with it has no profiler, so the buttons can't be programmed like my Logitech. All in all I am glad that a Fedex claim has been made, and will not be shopping for another Thrustmaster!! It is just a cheep feeling piece of crap.

The list price was $125.99. I got this one on Ebay for $69.00 plus $19.95 shipping.

Tad,
If you think you are going to be racing for the next 3 years go with a thomas superwheel man.
$325 for the wheel $40.00 for the 2 button kit installed ($20.00 for do it yourself but since they already have the wheel my as well have them do it).
It will be the last wheel you ever buy. Every 3 or 4 years you will have to buy potentiometers for it and there are 2 kinds.
They are spring driven, no force feedback, but have a lifetime warrently on everything except for the pots and switches.
I have had mine for almost 5 years now and I would never use anything else.
Dave and his son do some awesome work, are very nice to deal with and will bend over backwards for you if you need help with anything.
I figure the cost of a decent wheel each year or two ($100+) offsets the price of these wheels. You get what you pay for.
The new ones have a refined bushing shaft (mine has the old style) and a metal base for both the wheel and pedals. Everything is metal, you feel the strength of this thing and the pedals do NOT move on you at all.
It WILL have you racing with more precision and confidence and it has made me faster over the years.
d**n I should be a salesman for these guys LOLOLOL.....

The more I've raced, the less I've used force feedback. In fact, I have it down to 10% at nearly every track. It is nice to feel something there, but too often it overpowers the corrective steering attempts.

If you do get the TSW, make sure you get the Gas/Brake combination setup, you'll find it to be very beneficial. I found myself upgrading so much on the TSW that I ended up at over $500 when pricing the cheaper setup they offer. I can not fathom paying $500 for a wheel when a Momo will suffice and the G25 seems a little more reasonable.
